Queenscliff Ghost ToursA journey through history with the ghosts of the past Ghostly walks and eerie tales...... Queenscliff, a charming township on the edge of Port Philip Bay, belongs to an area richly steeped in history. Grand structures from a more elegant era grace the town's centre and shipwrecks litter its coast. With a shoreline both beautiful and deadly, and a past dating back to the town's earliest surveyance in 1836, many lives and ships have been lost both on its the land and in the deceptively treacherous waters of the infamous Rip. It is a town of unsolved tales and mysterious happenings where ghostly occurrences have been regularly reported. As such, it makes a perfect site for exploration and an evening walking tour is a great way to uncover its darker side and perhaps encounter a ghostly presence or two..... Walking tours are held on Friday and Saturday nights, and other nights by arrangement. Times vary according to the seasons, so please confirm upon booking.Tours are approximately 90 minutes in duration and concentrate on sites of historical interest and intrigue around the local area. They are easily paced and generally suitable for most of a moderate level of fitness. The tours are also ideal for groups including social, sporting and book clubs, and can be tailored for conferences seeking something a little different. Children under the age of 10 are not allowed due to the nature of the subject matter discussed. Guests are strongly encouraged to dress for the weather. Nights are often cold, so warm clothes are advised, as are comfortable walking shoes. Please bring an umbrella if conditions suggest.
