Tarot spreads - the Empress spread

This spread uses the Major Arcana cards to explore how the energy of the Empress is manifesting in your life. You can use it to look at a single issue in your life, such as your career or a relationship, or you can simply do a general reading.

There are 9 cards in this spread for the nine pearls in the necklace the Empress wears around her neck to represent the original nine planets. The cards are laid out in sets of three (of course!).

Card number 5, which sits in the centre of the spread, not only refers to the restriction of desire but is also the Key Card in the reading. This Key Card shows the energy that will assist you to understand the core stagnating influence which is holding you back. Understanding its meaning will help you to let go of what you no longer need so that you can give birth to your Empress potential.

Pay particular attention to the Empress if she appears in the spread as her position will be of special significance.
